Groningen through the eyes of our international guests! #IBM050

It’s been 2 months since we organized the International Bloggers Meetup in Groningen: a weekend in Groningen for bloggers from neighbour countries and Dutch bloggers to meet and exchange knowledge. And it was so much fun! In this article we share the adventures of the international bloggers, so you get to see Groningen through the eyes of others.

Laura, from The Copenhagen Tales, explores Groningen like a real foodie. Even at her night of arrival she enjoyed dinner (at 10 pm) at a really great culinary hotspot in our city. You can read more about her (foodie)adventures here! And she also wrote about what to do in Groningen in when you only have 48 hours to spend.

2 of our Polish guests, Sylvia and her photographer Cyryl, decided to explore Groningen the Dutch way: by bike. And they loved it! In the cold and rainy weather they even filmed a few instastories and laughed a lot. If you like to know how these two liked our city, check out their blog about Groningen. Sylvia also made 2 outfit posts, pictures taken in Groningen. You can check these two posts here and here.

Erik, a young fashion blogger from Berlin, explored the city and filmed his way through Groningen. He made this really nice YouTube movie (link below) and he wrote this article with lots of pictures too.

Germany was well represented during our IBM050. Sarah, lifestyle blogger from Oldenburg, joined us too. In her article she shares her favourite shops and shows you Groningen through her eyes. She took lots of beautiful pictures of our city. You can also read all about her stay at The Student Hotel and her travel look for her visit to Groningen.

The articles of fashion blogger Paulina from Gdansk are written in Polish. So, quite a challenge to read, but Google Translate is a real life saver here although you’re bound to get some weird translations ;-). Paulina shares Groningen through her eyes and she wrote a travel diary. Besides these 2 articles you can check out her 2 outfit posts, pictures taken in Groningen of course. The pictures for this blog were taken in Prinsentuin. And the pictures for the other outfit were taken behind the Martini church.

The two bloggers from 25 und Fabelhaft are Kira and Anna: they write about fashion and lifestyle. Anna represented the blog during the meetup and she absolutely loved Groningen. In part 1 of her article about the city she shares her impression of the city and which part of Groningen you shouldn’t miss! Part 2 will be published later.

Bella, blogger at Bella’s Welt, came all the way from Berlin to join us. Her website is all about fashion, travel and lifestyle. Groningen (well, The Netherlands in genereal actually) were new to her. She loved exploring the city and you can read her impression in this article.

Lisa writes articles at Lisa’s Close-up (this website belongs to two Lisa’s, both living in Düsseldorf, Germany). She wrote a blog with 5 insider tips for food and drinks in Groningen. This article also contains a video made by Lisa during her stay in Groningen.

Emma posted an article about her fashion shoot in Groningen. The pictures were taken at the stairs of the town hall.

As soon as Marta (from London) and Richy (from Hamburg) publish their blogs, we will update this article.

We look back at an inspiring and fun bloggers meetup in Groningen. Thanks all, for joining us and sharing Groningen through your eyes! Hope to meet again soon.
